A migraine is known as an intense or severe headache. It feels like a throbbing pain on one side of the headache and can last for a few hours to three days. This medical condition can impact your daily life and pressure your health.

It is often accompanied by nausea, sensitivity to light, and vomiting.

What causes migraine in females?

Females are more likely to suffer due to migraine as compared to men. Although it can be treated through medicines.

1. Hormonal changes:

2. Stress:

5. Caffeine and alcohol consumption: 

Consuming coffee and alcohol can trigger a migraine episode. Nowadays, females also enjoy drinking, some of them take it occasionally, and some might are used to it regularly. However, some believe that coffee can stop their migraine symptoms.

6. Weather conditions: 

Changes in weather or barometric pressure with extreme heat or winters, rains, or dust may trigger migraine in some females.

7. Diet: 

Diet is equally responsible for triggering migraine in some cases. Eating certain foods and ingredients such as cheese, chocolate, preservatives, added sugar and processed food can increase migraine episodes.

8. Age: 

Age is another factor in increasing your migraine. It begins at the stage of puberty and can be more severe in your 30s or 40s. However, it slows down later in life.

9. Dehydration:

Dehydration is another reason for migraine. It has adverse effects throughout the body and might affect you with dizziness and confusion.

10. Bright light:

Some people who are sensitive to light find that natural light can increase their migraine. For others, artificial, bright, or flickering lights can be more problematic.

11. Sensitivity to smell: 

Sensitivity to strong smells such as perfumes, paint, chemicals, smoke etc., can put you in trouble if you have a migraine problem.
